Dining at Castalia's is always a treat! The extensive menu makes it hard to choose. We shared stuffed mushrooms and egglplant rolatini for appetizers, both were amazing. My dinner was the veal saltimboca, the veal was very tender and the green beens crisp. Laura's homemade cheesecake is my favorite dessert.

My husband and I have enjoyed many meals at and are always extremely pleased. We were warmly greeted by “Ron.” The dining room is tastefully decorated. Service was fabulous; our waiter was attentive and took the time to answer the questions about the specials. We started with Mozzarella Castalia and Spiedini Alla Romana. The Mozzarella was delicious. All vegetables/cheese were tender and complimented each other that the Pesto and Vinegar add just the right amount of sauce and flavor. The Spiedini was tasty; the bread was crispy and not over done. The anchovy garlic sauce was not overpowering. For the main course hubby had the Lasagna. The lasagna noodles mixed well with the meat, cheese, and sauce, with neither overtaking the other, keeping the dish moist. The Scaloppine Gatti, was my choice for dinner. The Veal was tender and tasty with ingredients complimented each other. Not heavy at all. Both servings were plentiful, and were enjoyed the next day for lunch. For dessert, the Cheesecake and Mousse which were very light and tasty. Since both were fairly rich desserts, the portions were just right, enough to enjoy. We were unable to finish our dessert, too much food. Their staff welcomed you and were accommodating throughout the meal. A great place for any occasion, just to grab something to eat, or a special night out with the spouse or fun night out with friends.

Bottom Line: Castallia is one of our favorite places. Warm and comfortable atmosphere, attentive wait staff, and most important - the food is consistantly great and reasonably priced.

Excellent food. Everything is prepared with the freshest ingredients. Great variety and wonderful specials that change daily. If you love desserts - they have the best! Almost all are homemade. Warm, comfortable atmosphere and very professional wait staff.

What a wonderful evening! The food is fabulous, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is warm, inviting and hospitable. Nice to sit at the bar afterwards for a drink too. If you are looking for a romantic evening for two or an evening out with your family, this is the place to be. For sure, I will be back for many more delicious dinners and a fun time. Truly a great experience.

This is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in the area. The food is always terrific, particularly the appetizers, the wait-staff is friendly and efficient and Ron, the owner, is a delight. This is a must try.

The greatest Italian food around, You will love everything on menu. The chef is top of his field. You get the whole package with the addition of bar area. Ron is a gracious host. I highly recommend for everyone to try. I rate Castalia A +++++.

The ambiance is relaxing. The food is always superb. The wait staff is better than most high class dining establishments. We have NEVER been disappointed at this restaurant. I always recommend "Castalia" t o my friends and relatives and anticipate their rave reviews.

Service is attentive and unhurried, Whether for a business lunch, family gathering or a great night out with friends, it does not disappoint. No surprise the Record chose Castalia as the top Italian restaurant in the area. The food is fabulous, the portions are extremely generous and the service is impeccable. If you are a veal lover this is the place for you. From your first visit your hosts will make you feel like family.

I have been going to Castalia for two years. Even though I live about a hour away in Middlesex county, I make a point of stopping in often, The varied menu selections and great taste make the trip worth it every time

You can tell a great Italian Restaurant by it's Veal or Penne Vodka... Castalia has the best of both!! Molto Bene Cap! Also, what is the name of your interior decorator? When we were there, it felt like a quaint Italian Bistro on a main street in Italy! Fantastic Atmosphere!

LOVE this place. Calamari with the ginger sauce is the best by far! Their specials are always great and different. The owner always is very friendly and walks around to all the tables to make sure everyone is happy. Great atmosphere also.
