Luce eclectic Italian was established in March 2001 by owners Joseph Cifalino, Joseph Capasso, and Dino Vitagliano.
The owners bought the restaurant, formerly known as Mezzanotte, with the vision of bringing contemporary New York style dining to Caldwell. They envisioned a trendy, yet casual, atmosphere, serving authentic Italian cuisine highlighting signature dishes with an eclectic touch, all presented with impeccable service.
In March 2003, executive chef/owner Anthony Pucciarello formerly of Papillon Restaurant in Nutley, joined the Luce team. With the talent of Anthony in the kitchen and general manager David Garretson, Luce has evolved into a sophisticated, yet comfortable eatery.
