Executive Chef, Christopher Nevoso

A native of North Jersey, Chris grew up in a family that was all about cooking. He started off in this business as a line cook in a grill house. At his next position, another steakhouse, he was greatly inspired by the chef he was working under and constantly encouraged to discover his own talents. Here he gained an appreciation for product, quality, simplicity, and seasonality. Chris' confidence and passion for food earned him a sous chef post here at only 19 years old.

Chris loves all styles of cooking, but he especially enjoys Italian cuisine. With his desire to reach back to his Italian heritage, he moved to Bruschetta Restaurant in Fairfield, NJ. Here he was able to learn new culinary techniques and prepare uncomplicated Italian food using pure, natural flavors. His strong leadership shined and Chris was quickly promoted to head chef, reaffirming that this was the industry for him.

Chris transferred to an executive chef position at Campania in Fair Lawn, NJ in 2005. Two years later, the restaurant appeared on a Fox Network program starring 5-star Michelin Chef, Gordon Ramsey. On the show, Chris participated in the re-launch of the restaurant and played a lead role in the redefinition of the menu and cuisine.

In the fall of 2007, Chris joined us here at Bacchus Chop House. As executive chef, he is constantly concocting new ideas and menu items to make Bacchus the very best it can be. His enthusiasm for food and talent speaks for itself in the preparation and presentation of unforgettable meals.
